    Dr. Christina Chan

    Owner | Optometrist

Everything you see at Komoka Optometry—from the team members you meet and the thoughtfully designed space to our curated eyewear collection and state-of-the-art technology—is built on Dr. Christina Chan’s vision of giving Komoka the gift of exceptional eye care.

Born and raised in London, Ontario, Dr. Chan completed her Honours Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Western Ontario, with a double major in Pharmacology & Toxicology and Physiology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Florida in 2011.

Dr. Chan has a particular passion for dry eye disease and ocular surface health and has made advanced dry eye management an important focus of her practice. She enjoys helping patients who have struggled with persistent dryness, irritation, fluctuating vision, and contact lens discomfort by looking beyond symptom relief to better understand and manage the underlying causes of their dry eye.

Her other clinical interests include contact lenses and ocular aesthetics. In 2023, she expanded Komoka Optometry to include the Eye Spa, bringing together advanced dry eye treatments and non-invasive aesthetic services in a calming, clinical environment. This reflects her interest in the natural connection between eye health, eyelid health, the ocular surface, and the delicate skin surrounding the eyes.

Dr. Chan’s approach to optometry is rooted in connection. She takes the time to get to know each patient and believes eye care should be personalized, thorough, and compassionate. As the former co-owner of Upper Richmond Optometry in Arva, she brings years of experience, a love of innovation, and a strong sense of style to everything she does.

Dr. Chan is proud to be part of the Komoka community and is committed to continually advancing the care available close to home—combining technology, clinical expertise, and a personal touch to create a different kind of eye care experience.
