Building Komoka Optometry from the ground up

Built from the ground up, the sparkling new Komoka Optometry opened on March 15th, 2021, serving Komoka, Kilworth, Mount Brydges, Delaware, Strathroy, London and other surrounding communities.”

“Everything you see at Komoka Optometry is brand new and built to offer you only the most exceptional eye care,” says proprietor Dr. Christina Chan. “We’ve invested in top-of-the-line technologies to make your comprehensive eye exam more efficient and accurate – so we can prevent, detect, diagnose and treat all ocular conditions that might obstruct your vision.”

“We are committed to providing a lifetime of eye care to our patients and community. We strive to improve our patients’ quality of vision by utilizing state-of-the-art technology to detect, manage and preserve ocular and visual health. Our Eye Care Professionals will stay at the forefront of technology with a commitment to continuing education. Our promise is to provide a thorough eye health examination with the utmost professionalism and friendliness, with compassion for each patient. Most of all, we strive to establish a long-lasting relationship with the families that we serve.”

Komoka Optometry is a full-scope optometric practice that offers Comprehensive Eye Exams for all ages, Dry Eye Assessments, Retinal Imaging, Contact Lens Exams, and many other services described on its website.

“We are also proud to offer HD Ultra Wide-field Fundus imaging with our Clarus 500,” says Dr. Chan.

In addition to Dr. Chan, the Komoka Optometry team includes Dr. Stephanie McLellan, an associate doctor, Office Manager Lydia who is on her way to becoming a Certified Optometric Assistant, and Amber who is the practice’s Licensed Optician.

What sets Komoka Optometry apart from other optometrists says Dr. Chan is the fact that it is a small independent practice that supports local businesses and loves to give back to the community.

“We also strive to be an environmentally friendly office by limiting printing, emailing receipts and invoices,” she says.

COVID-19 pandemic protocols are in place.

“With the health of our patients, staff and doctors as our top priority, we have taken a number of steps to help support and ensure the safety of everyone at Komoka Optometry,” says Dr. Chan.  “We have enhanced our already vigorous disinfection protocols, we screen all patients for COVID-related symptoms, and spread out appointments to observe physical distancing.”

Both Dr. Christina Chan and Dr. Stephanie McLellan reside in the Komoka community, and Lydia also recently moved into the area.

“We have been overwhelmed by the response of the community,” says Dr. Chan. “A lot of our patients tell us that they love the easy access to eye care services right in their hometown.”
